#13 - The Parade
Dreamers from Stockholm debut with their single released on June 9th
Welcome back everyone, after more than 6 months, Small Ears is back with a new emerging artist that released their first piece of music just 3 weeks ago. With their debut single “I'm a Dreamer”, The Parade managed to reach the ears of more than 10k people this month only (What a great start !).
I’m a Dreamer is described by their performers as :
An homage to a time when music magazines were treasured possessions and record shops were cherished sanctuaries for teenage dreamers. We wanted something that seamlessly blends catchy hooks, lush arrangements, and heartfelt lyrics. The song will hopefully transport listeners to a world of youthful optimism and boundless dreams, inviting them to embrace their own aspirations and celebrate the joy of music discovery.
Let’s dive together in this short (but concise) interview of what, I think, will be an artist you’ll hear on radio soon enough.
Can you present yourself in a few words?
We are dreamers!
Where is your artist name coming from?
The parade just felt cool and appropriate, it doesn´t have a more deeper meaning than that.
How do you start your day?
Usually with coffee and some music
When did you start your musical career?
Oh, music and playing music has been a part of our lives for as long as we can remember.
What motivated you to start it?
Music has always been just the most natural habitat for us so it has never been up for questioning to do something else.
What genre of music do you play?
Everything from blackmetal to techno to shoegaze. The genre is not as important as the emotional connection the music makes. From creating to listening. Good music is good music.
Is there an event, an artist or a band that inspired you?
Plenty of inspiration. Not one specific thou...
Is your music your principal work? If not, what else are you doing?
Yes
What is the process behind your mind while creating a new piece of music?
Playing with sounds and chords. Finding a vibe we like and then go with the flow.
Where do you perform most of the time? On which platform is your music available?
All the regular places you find music this days.
Where is THE place or country you would like to perform?
Would be great to do a parade all over the world, but let's see.
What are the songs you want to share with people that don’t know your music?
They can start with “I´m a dreamer” :-) It paints a pretty good picture
Was there a moment you wanted to give up on music?
No, never been a moment like that yet, still believes in music.
What is the song you are the most proud of?
Right now it’s this one "I'm a Dreamer".
What are you using to record your performance ? Are you doing everything by yourself ?
Yes we are doing everything by ourself. We´ve been blessed with having access to great recording studios, studios we built up over the years.
Do you have any new songs in preparation? If so, can you give us a little hint about it?
Yes, we have a couple of songs we are working on and aim to finish asap.
What are the places where people can follow you ?
All the usual places you can buy and find music.
